The fund performance tool (see fig. 1.1) is split into two main parts: performance charting and performance data.

Performance Chart & Chart Control
The performance chart is a cut down version of the pop-up Charting Tool.
Using the Chart control panel you have to option to change the charted time period or to add a sector average or an index to you chart.
To add either a the relevant sector average or the FTSE 100 index to the chart use the quick links to the right of the chart area (see fig. 1.2)

To add an index to
the performance chart, make a selection from the drop down list to the right
hand side of the chart area (see fig. 1.3). Please note that not all fund's
respective benchmarks are represented here. If you wish to see a fund's performance
with it's correct benchmark, please refer to the factsheet section in 'our litrature'.

Performance Data
Performance data is divided into two tables: total returns to current date and total returns annual (by year).
Total returns by date shows price performance information for both fund and sector over 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 3 years and 5 years (where available). These figures are shown as percentages to two decimal places. This information is normally up to date to the previous business day.
Total returns annual (by year) shows price performance information for both fund and sector for the year to date and the four years prior to the current year (where available). These figures are shown as percentages to two decimal places.
