By using the ‘Edit Items’ function within the Aberdeen you can quickly make changes to existing holdings, without having to add them as new items to you portfolio. This function is particularly useful when:
Altering the number of
units held subsequent to additional purchase.
Altering the number of units held subsequent to a partial sale.
Averaging out the cost per unit after a purchase.
Removing multiple holdings.
The edit items page (see fig 1.1) is made up of a number of editable fields of data under the following column headers :

Removing Holdings
To remove (delete) a holding from your portfolio in edit mode simple follow the instructions below:
1 Check the 'text box' to the left
of the item that you wish to remove (see fig 1.2).
2 Click the 'go' button (see fig 1.3) to the bottom right of the edit page.

Removing multiple items
It is also possible to remove multiple items from your portfolio simultaneously. To do this simply follow the ‘Removing Holdings’ instructions above, repeating 'step 1' for as many holdings as necessary.
Altering holding information
Three fund details can be altered in edit mode – Units held, cost of purchase and purchase date.

To edit any of these fields of information simply follow the instructions below:
1. Click in the 'text box' you wish
to edit, i.e. units held (see fig 1.4).
2. Delete current 'text box' content.
3. Enter new details into 'text box'.
4. Click the 'go' button (see fig 1.3) to the bottom right of the edit page.
